Azad Mustafayev

About

Azad Faxraddin oglu Mustafayev was born on July 16, 1968. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (now - Oil and Industry University) in 1992. He received his postgraduate education in Electrical Engineering from 1994 to 1997 and obtained a PhD in technical sciences in 2014. He is the author of 9 scientific papers in the field of power engineering and automation. From 1990 to 2002, he worked as the deputy head of the production-technical department at "Azerenergy" JSC, and from 2002 to 2018 as the head of the Binaqadi district Energy Supply and Sales Administration of "Azerlight" JSC. In 2019, he started working as the deputy chief engineer for operation at "Baku Metro" CJSC. On August 1, 2023, he was appointed as the chief engineer for operation at "Baku Metro" CJSC. His services in the improvement and development of the country's energy system have been highly valued by the state. In 2015, he was awarded the "Progress" medal by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2016, he was awarded the honorary title and badge of "Distinguished Power Engineer of the CIS" by the decree of the CIS Electric Power Council. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
